If you're already familiar with my 7 Step Method, then keep on reading for seven super simple ways to begin implementing the 7 Step Method in just 7 days this spring, to spoil yourself, and fill you up!!!


My apologies, again... I'm definitely regretting posting a schedule back in January. 😅 But honestly, I'm guessing it isn't being noticed much, I have very few readers at this point. When I started working with a mindset coach unexpectedly in February, I didn't anticipate it playing a role in me losing focus and momentum on my blogging! She's had me working on a more focused plan to execute my vision for Dazzling District inc. and also in believing that I am capable and called to be the founder & CEO of Dazzling District. In doing so, I've gotten so excited about the projects I'm working on towards that vision plan we've created in our coaching sessions. I nearly completely forgot to write my March, getting it out late. Then my husband hurt himself, and my April issue got put on the backburner, so it came out a little late too but still in time for Easter. I had hoped to be back on schedule for May, but I underestimated how long my husband's injury was going to keep me occupied and distracted.


I had also hoped to be back on track for June, but I completely forgot to factor in the fact that the first half of June was going to be crazy busy and exciting as we geared up as a family for our oldest daughter's college graduation trip. Fortunately, God provided just enough real-life miracles and blessings from friends and family so that we were still able to take this trip to watch her walk for her college graduation, becoming a 1st Generation graduate! Woohoo!!! We are proud, and impressed with her accomplishments, and we are also beyond excited for her future as a Video Game Producer! I am doubling down for the last half of the year and intend to return to my schedule!


A previous version of me would have become discouraged through all these setbacks and missed deadlines, and I would likely have disappeared and simply found a job to help my family with financial stability in this trial filled season. This version of me today realizes the assignment in the vision I was given when I heard the call to create this place. However, because of the progress I've made in my mindset coaching, instead of quitting when I fell off my plan, I launched a brand-new sales page on March 20th!     Summer is my favorite season. I love the abundance of fruit and fresh veggies that this season brings. I love the sunshine, and warmth it brings to the days. I love being in and around the water. I love the longer days and firefly filled nights. As the summer days get longer though, we can so easily fill the days with exciting experiences and ambitious adventures, that sometimes occupy more time than we realize. Before we know it, we've neglected our care. This month's 7 in 7 is going to be focused on the self-care practices inspired by the long days and warm nights of the summer months! I'm sharing this month's installment of my reoccurring blog series, "7 Steps in 7 Days" to offer solutions for weaving my 7 Step Method into your life with more ease as the days get longer. I've put together a week's worth of ways for you to practice some bonus self-care this month, in the middle of your everyday life. The goal this month is super simple but effective ways to help you prioritize you with a focus on hydration! Whether you practice them all this week or spread them out from now until next month, these ideas may help you fill your cup first this June! I hope you have a wonderful Summer Solstice!

Sunday: Back to the Basics

This "Sunday Soak" takes you to the kitchen. One of the four cornerstones of getting Back to the Basics is Personal Care and it includes Hydration. In this exercise you can hydrate yourself while you hydrate your nuts by soaking them! Nuts provide a great source of protein; but they can be rough on the digestive system. This month I'd like to encourage you to explore soaking your nuts to boost the enzyme activity in them as well as for better nutrient absorption AND improved digestibility! Hydrating your nuts can make them better for you in multiple ways!
Monday: Mindfulness Moment

For our "Monday Mindfulness Moment" this month I want you to be mindful of the wasted time & money hidden in your personal hygiene routines. By clean and colorful, I mean foods with minimal human touch before it gets on your plate while also representing a variety of colors in your meals. Step it Up this month by slimming your routines down to the basics and eliminate complicated or expensive products that you don't consistently use or benefit from. Start with your skincare products & routines then move into your other practices. Eliminate the waste and gain time and money!

Tuesday: Do Something Little for You

Today is "Treat Yourself Tuesday"! It's the time of the week where I give you permission to Do Something Little for You and spoil yourself, for taking time intentionally every day to improve your care. Summer is getting closer and that makes me think about life as a kid, where summer meant vacations. Whether it was a big trip or a simply a week of camping, these are some of my fondest summer memories. When summer arrives and I get nostalgic, I want to pack a bag to sneak away on a vacation just for me! Inspired by this permanent summer desire I seem to have, and the trip I just took with my family to my daughter's graduation, I want you to pack a little day bag & sneak off, for a little while, even just an hour, to a place where you can find a little peace & relaxation all alone or with some peaceful company!


So, not terribly scary or overwhelming to apply to your week so far, right?

The second half of the week is when things start to get real fun!


Wednesday: Get a Hobby

For this month's "Wednesday Workshop" it's time to explore something new Get a Hobby that will get you moving for fun! Maybe it's skateboarding, maybe it's dancing, maybe it's learning a new sport, just make sure it's an active hobby! A fun hobby that also gets you moving is a great double duty self-care activity Darling! The goal of this prompt is to play in the dirt, cultivating a new kind of growth, encouraging you to!

Thursday: Get Your A$$ Moving

As the days become longer & the nights become warmer, I have chosen this "Thick Thighs Thursday" to benefit from both of those things. Grab a blanket or a yoga mat & head to a quiet place outside, just before sunset... to Get Your A$$ Moving by doing some stretching to help relax your body for the evening, maybe even sneak a yoga pose or two into the mix also, the goal is to promote calm and also physical activity.

Friday: Dream Big

The weekend is here and that means that it's "Friday Funday"! Head into the weekend daydreaming about how you can continue to find time, more consistently, to retreat from the craziness of your life to seek rest and also to recharge this summer! Dream Big Darling!

Saturday: Rest, Reflect, Reevaluate, & Restart

Celebrate "Self-Care Saturday" by reflecting, relaxing & recharging yourself Darling! I hope 2025 is off to an incredible start! I also hope that you have truly begun to prioritize yourself more! As we usher summer in this month, now is a great time to Rest, Reflect, Reevaluate, & Restart. How can you continue to easily & efficiently practice this prompt in even more creative and specific ways throughout the second half of 2025 to ensure your habits and practices are refreshed and renewing to your spirit, your body, and your mind! Resting is vital, reflecting is helpful, reevaluating matters, and restarting keeps you growing!

       As I was creating, developing, and fine-tuning my 7-step method to fill my own cup first, it quickly became apparent to me that it was perfectly aligned to 7 days in a week. After launching the brand and beginning my first iteration of the Coffeetalk Newsletter, I created a monthly column sharing how you could challenge yourself through the week and accomplish something for each step in a single week using the 7 Step in 7 Day practice. It was so fun that I decided to turn this into a regular seasonal blog to share. This year I will experiment with a monthly seasonal approach to consistently producing it and will post them according to the following schedule:
