I want to give you some easy ideas to

Begin practicing the 7 Step Method in just 7 days!
If you aren't already familiar with my 7 Step Method to Fill Your Cup First, then check out the blog post that I wrote at the very beginning of 2021 HERE to get comfortable with the method.
If you're already familiar with my 7 Step Method, then keep on reading for seven super simple ways to begin implementing the 7 Step Method in just 7 days this spring, to spoil yourself, and fill you up!!!
I'm definitely regretting posting a schedule back in January. 😅
But honestly, I'm guessing it isn't being noticed much, I have very few readers at this point.
With my kids returning to school soon, I anticipate the remaining editions to be out on time,
as I'll have more time to myself to write and create content easier again.
I am doubling down for the rest of the year and intend to return to my schedule!
A previous version of me would have become discouraged through all these setbacks and missed deadlines that I've faced this year, and I would likely have disappeared and simply found a job to help my family with financial stability in this trial filled season. This version of me today realizes the assignment in the vision I was given when I heard the call to create this place. However, because of the progress I've made in my mindset coaching, instead of quitting when I fell off my plan, I launched a brand-new sales page on March 20th! I launched it just in time for you to have easy access to my unique digital products, downloadable journals and booklets created to aid you on your Dazzling Quest! As summer kept quickly progressing, I launched my new podcast "The Dazzling Show" on July 2nd to help encourage all of the moms out there to prioritize their self-care and begin practicing "The Art of Overflow"!
Season One is themed to help moms that are just trying to "Survive Summer" and you can Listen to it HERE!
You can find my sales page here to access my unique tools to use for yourself as well!
Fall is approaching so quickly, I can hardly believe summer is nearing its end so soon and that my girls will return to school in just a few short weeks. This edition is inspired by the back-to-school season and it is full of ways to weave my 7 in 7 model into your life with a bit of a school vibe, from recess, to the cafeteria, with a permission slip for spoiling, then art class, and gym class too, before wrapping it all up with a fearless dream session to plan for your future and a proper interim review of what worked for you, and what didn't. This week, I'm taking you back to school to "school" you on prioritizing your self-care in more efficient, effective, and exciting ways. When you learn to do this, you are doing the prep work towards overflowing the best of you into your people. Let this edition help you navigate back to school with your kiddos without depleting yourself in the process. We shouldn't have to always be depleting ourselves. Overflow is best!

Filling Your Cup First
one day at a time.
Seven steps in seven days.
It just makes sense to me.
Here is the August 7 Steps in 7 Days:
Sunday: Back to the Basics
This
"Sunday Soak"
is one intended to transition you from summer to fall, inspired by the back-to-school season that is in full swing. One of the four cornerstones of getting
Back to the Basics is hygiene, which includes skincare. This month I want you to focus on your skincare routine at a base level, by soaking your skin in sunscreen whenever you are out in the sun, for
recess
or other fun, especially as it begins to cool down as fall gets nearer. It may not feel like the sun's rays can still hurt you as the weather cools down, but if it's still shining, it's still a risk to your skin. So, be sure to lather up your skin with sunscreen anytime you're going to be out in the sun. Whether you're waiting for the school bus, walking them to and from school, or playing at the playground with them after school, sunscreen is helpful, with overcast skies or not.
Monday: Mindfulness Moment
For our "Monday Mindfulness Moment" this month I want you to be mindful of the things you eat. As the seasons transition over the weeks through August and into September, it is peak timing for great fresh produce. Make mealtimes the most mindful times of your day and Step it Up this month by spending a little time plotting a meal plan that includes a bounty of produce, then hit up a local farmer's market to stock up on the fruits and veggies you will need. Skip the cafeteria food or drive thru meals and be mindful to make delicious lunches yourself instead. Whenever you are preparing a meal, whether it's a quick breakfast, a lunchbox spread, or a more comprehensive dinner, use the time you spend on food preparation to be mindful of how you are feeling, physically and mentally, as a great check in with yourself.
Tuesday: Do Something Little for You
Today is "Treat Yourself Tuesday"! It's the time of the week where I give you a permission slip to Do Something Little for You and spoil yourself, for taking time intentionally every day to improve your care. Summer's bounty is upon us, beautiful fruits are so ripe and in season right now that it makes this month the perfect time to incorporate some fresh, juicy fruit into a sweet treat you can enjoy as a tasty post-dinner dessert while watching fireflies in your yard as the warm summer nights become brisk autumn evenings.
So, not terribly scary or overwhelming to apply to your week so far, right?
The second half of the week is when things start to get real fun!
Wednesday: Get a Hobby
For this month's "Wednesday Workshop" it's time to try something a little different and head back to art class. I want you to Get a Hobby this month that is about light, gentle brushstrokes! Watercolor art is a fun way to get creative. I want you to watercolor three ways! First, start with a traditional watercolor pallet (you can get a basic pallet at a dollar store in the kid's art & craft aisle) and whatever paper you have on hand. Second, grab some markers, a cup of water, and a clean paintbrush. Grab another piece of paper and use the markers to draw a line drawing on the paper, with as many details as you feel led to include. Once you've finished drawing, paint over it with water strokes and watch how the depth of color increases. Last, grab a white tank top or t-shirt from a thrift store near you and grab a few dye colors to tie, dye your thrifted top, since tie dye is essentially watercolor with clothing! Plus, who doesn't love a tie dye top?
Thursday: Get Your A$$ Moving
Swimsuit season might be nearing it's close, but we don't need swimsuit season to stay fit. I made "Thick Thighs Thursday" to be sure to encourage fitness all year round, not just during the peak summer months. This month we are going to Get Your A$$ Moving by going back to gym class with 30x30x30 reps of one of the following 3 exercises: choose from - mountain climbers - squats - or leg lifts. Once you decide on your exercise, psych yourself up to complete three sets of thirty reps. Shoot for 3 minutes or less to complete each set and then resting for no more than 90 seconds in between your sets, because you really don't want to let your heartrate to slow down too much between sets for ideal fat burn. If you want to push yourself even harder, do one of the other exercises, or even better both of the other exercises, 30x30x30 too!
Friday: Dream Big
The weekend is here and that means that it's "Friday Funday"! Head into the weekend with a fearless dream session about how you can continue to find time, more consistently, to retreat from the craziness of your life to seek rest and also to recharge as the schedule fill up again with school obligations and holidays in the weeks and months ahead! Dream Big Darling! Oh, and make sure you are shooting for the stars and not stifling your dreams due to fear of leaving your comfort zone. The best stuff happens when you leave the comfort zone! Dream fearlessly darling! It just may pay off!
Saturday: Rest, Reflect, Reevaluate, & Restart
Celebrate
"Self-Care Saturday" by reflecting, relaxing, and recharging yourself Darling! It is time for your
interim review! I hope 2025 is off to an incredible start! I also hope that you have truly begun to prioritize yourself more! As we usher in a new schoolyear this month, now is a great time to
Rest, Reflect, Reevaluate, & Restart. How can you continue to easily & efficiently practice this prompt in even more creative and specific ways throughout the reminder of 2025 to ensure your habits and practices are refreshed and renewing to your spirit, your body, and your mind! Resting is vital, reflecting is helpful, reevaluating matters, and restarting keeps you growing!

As I was creating, developing, and fine-tuning my 7-step method to fill my own cup first, it quickly became apparent to me that it was perfectly aligned to 7 days in a week. After launching the brand and beginning my first iteration of the Coffeetalk Newsletter, I created a monthly column sharing how you could challenge yourself through the week and accomplish something for each step in a single week using the 7 Step in 7 Day practice. It was so fun that I decided to turn this into a regular seasonal blog to share. This year I will experiment with a monthly seasonal approach to consistently producing it and will post them according to the following schedule:
